Comparison

Everglow vs Jobber: what changes when the business grows.

Jobber is a legitimate field-service platform and a lot of shops are well served by it. The question is not whether it works. It is whether per-seat pricing, add-on texting and a calendar-shaped view of the business are still the right operating model at eight techs.

Where the models differ

Two ways of running the same shop

Pricing structure

Jobber charges per user and sells texting separately. Everglow is $149 flat for the whole crew, and takes nothing on payments.

The shape of the data

Jobber connects a client to jobs and invoices. Everglow connects customer, site, asset, job, visit, cost, invoice and payment, so margin per job and history per customer are answerable.

Operational intelligence

Jobber reports. Everglow reviews: it names the completed work never invoiced, the quotes gone cold and the customers who stopped booking, with the invoice numbers.

AI

Jobber has assistants inside its app. Everglow gives the AI you already pay for controlled, logged access to the business, read-only first.

Offline

Everglow queues a tech's taps in a basement and replays them in order. Check what Jobber does without a signal before your crew finds out.

Migration

Export your customers from Jobber as a CSV and bring them in yourself: Everglow keeps each customer’s contacts and properties together, shows you anything it is not sure matches, and writes nothing until you approve. Your price book comes in through a guided import that shows what will be added or changed before you approve it, and help is available if you get stuck.

Price

What it costs as you hire

Monthly list prices, no annual commitment, both sides. Jobber discounts substantially if you prepay for a year — if you are willing to pay twelve months up front, check their site, because these numbers will look worse for them than your actual quote.

Jobber includes a fixed number of users per tier and charges $29 a month for each one beyond it. That is the line that moves: the twenty-five tech row is a 15-user plan plus ten extra seats. Everglow does not count users, so the same row is $149.

AI Receptionist

$29 a month on top, unless you are on Plus.

Everglow does not have this. Point for Jobber.

A different approach

Calls

Jobber’s Receptionist answers calls and texts for you: an AI that books visits, takes requests, recognizes returning customers and keeps a recording and transcript of every conversation. You keep your number by forwarding it.

Everglow takes the other road: your people answer, and the caller’s record — sites, visits, quotes, balance — is already on screen. It connects the phone system you already have and never answers, records or transcribes a call. How it works →

Marketing Suite

$99 a month on top unless you are on Plus.

Everglow does not have this either.

Elsewhere

Pipeline

$49 a month on top unless you are on Plus, for tracking leads through to booked work.

Included. Everglow has a deal pipeline on every plan.

Elsewhere

QuickBooks Online sync

Not on Core. You need Connect or higher, so if your books are in QuickBooks your real entry price is $139, not $49.

Included. QuickBooks Online, every plan.

Elsewhere

Job costing

From Grow. Knowing what a job actually made is a $199 feature.

Included, with loaded labor cost — wage plus burden, not the bare hourly rate.

Elsewhere

Onboarding and data import

Jobber's own pricing page puts white glove onboarding at a $599 value and data import at $499, both on the Plus tier. Lower tiers get two or three sessions.

Self-serve customer and price-list import on every plan, with founder-led help if you get stuck, and a walkthrough on request while you get set up.

Where we are honest about being behind. No AI receptionist, no marketing suite, no website builder, no two-way texting, no Spanish in the app, and no app marketplace. Jobber has all of it and a decade of polish. If those matter to you, buy Jobber — you will be happier.
Questions

The ones people actually ask

Is Everglow cheaper than Jobber?

At one user both are $49 a month: Everglow Solo and Jobber Core. Above that Everglow stays $149 at every crew size, while Jobber moves you up tiers and charges $29 a month for each user beyond your plan cap. At ten techs that is $149 against $299.

Does Jobber charge per user?

Yes. Plans include a set number of users — 1, 5, 10 or 15 depending on the tier — and every additional user is $29 a month. Everglow does not count users at all.

Does Everglow do everything Jobber does?

No. Jobber has an AI receptionist, a marketing suite, a customer-facing website builder, two-way texting and Spanish in its mobile app for field staff. Everglow has none of those. Both have a sales pipeline: Jobber sells it as a $49-a-month add-on below its Plus plan; Everglow includes one on every plan. If you need them, Jobber is the better product.

What does Everglow include that Jobber charges extra for?

QuickBooks Online sync is on every Everglow plan; Jobber puts it on Connect and above, not Core. Job costing is included; Jobber has it from Grow. Recurring service plans and the flat-rate price book are included at $149.

Does Everglow answer calls like Jobber’s Receptionist?

No. Jobber's Receptionist is an AI that answers calls and texts, books visits and keeps recordings and transcripts. Everglow doesn't answer or record calls: it connects the phone system you already have, so when your office picks up, the caller's customer record is already on screen. Jobber checked on getjobber.com on 27 September 2026.

The honest close

Jobber may be right for you. Everglow may be. Here is where to look.

If your team is under five and the calendar view is all you need, Jobber is a fine place to stay. If you are adding techs and each one costs another seat, or you have stopped being able to answer where the money went, run the numbers before deciding either way.
